The prongs on this comb are cheap machine made plastic that is actually too sharp and scratchy to the touch to put through hair. Always test a new comb on your hand, and if it scratches your hand then it will cut at your hair strands damaging them. If you have short hair this would be fine because the sharpness is high up in the comb, but for mid back length heavy hair these teeth will absolutely ravage your hair. Sometimes you truly do get what you pay for so I suggest the wenn shower comb instead - it's excellent for thick or fine hair alike and it's extremely well made.

I have one of these and decided since I was purchasing on amazon it was time to pick up a few more. I bought my original one about 20 years ago when my hair was knee-length. I sat down one night and ran a file along the teeth to smooth down the mold lines. This keeps the thin pieces of plastic from catching my hair. I had to cut my hair off when I broke my back in an auto accident about 10 years ago. I had "clearance" from the doc to grow it all back out. It's shoulder-length now, and I am growing it back out again. You can't go wrong with this comb. It's big and works great for thick, long hair. Its shape is easy to hold on to, and it's not made of cheap plastic that will pull your hair instead of detangling. You won't regret your purchase.

I have had this comb for years...almost ten years until it broke. I couldn't find it locally so I ordered it online. I'm so happy I found it! This comb is perfect if you have really tangled wet hair. My hair has been all lengths and it works great. My hair is super fine and easily tangles. I don't like using leave in conditioner because it weighs my hair down. This comb is the solution to that. It's fantastic, especially if you have long hair.

This shower comb works wonderfully with my natural hair. Has a nice grip while wet and the waves helps to detangle hair more. I found this product actually rips out lesser hair then the denman brush while in the shower. Highly recommend!

I have tangly, curly thick hair (shoulder length) and have always struggled with it. But this comb is really amazing. It does the job and does NOT hurt like the combs I have used in the past. It's not totally pain free but it is a hundred times better than any other comb. I purchased three of them (one for the shower, one for travel, and one as an extra) and a so glad that I did. Thanks Mebco for an awesome comb!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who has thick tangly hair.
